Birth and Wellness Past and Present: Caring for Women Creating Life
Saturday, September 19, 2020
The West Baton Rouge Museum is pleased to partner with Nanette McCann of A Caring Season Doula and Dr. Sears Certified L.E.A.N. Coach to present a two part retreat community program for expectant mothers called Birthing and Wellness Past and Present: Caring for Women Creating Life. Imagine a welcoming women’s only environment where expectant mothers can draw strength and encouragement from each other and from historical tales of mothers and midwives, modern day pregnancy and postpartum pointers, and relaxing meditative activities. Instructor, Nanette McCann will share information and lead engaging exercises and empowering discussions to help moms-to-be prepare for pregnancy during Covid times when Telemedicine is the world we live in. Learn how to make healthy lifestyle choices, how to maintain strength and avoid heartburn through nutritious diet tips, and how to read your body and be prepared for the changes each trimester brings.
