West Baton Rouge Parish Natural Gas & Water Systems serves most of the parish with natural gas and water. All customers are located parish wide with the exception of the City of Port Allen which provides gas and water service to all the customers in the city limits.

The office staff consists of the Utility Director, six (6) office personnel including a utility serviceman. Office hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The office is closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day, although Monday thru Thursday someone is in the office during the lunch hour to answer the phone and assist customers at the drive-thru window only. There is a drive-thru window located on the side of the building as a convenience for our customers. You must have your current and complete bill to pay at this window.

Our field maintenance staff consists of various qualified/certified workers for the installation and maintenance of natural gas lines, water lines, gas meters, water meters, fire hydrants, maintaining parish water sewer treatment systems and parish water wells.

As of November 1, 2014:

If your gas and/or water services are disconnected for non-payment, you MUST pay the ENTIRE bill PLUS the reconnect fee before services will be restored.

Request for after hour turns on will NOT be accepted after 8:00 pm.

If your services have been unlocked during working hours and you were not home for our technician to turn on your services, if you would like him to return when you are home after hours to turn on your meter and/or light your pilot lights, there is an additional fee. Please remember, if no one is home, we can ONLY UNLOCK the meters and you must turn on the meter(s) yourself.
